Oh, why didn't you say so! I thought this thread was going to be about how to deal with a terminally ill dating partner.

Happy Thanksgiving, OP!

You need to find out his Venus & moon sign. Venus for love and moon for how he deals with emotions. If his Venus is in Air sign, Gemini/Aquarius/Libra I would run lol.

The Venus sign of a Cancerian Male would be restricted to Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, or Virgo. With any Sun sign the Venus sign can only be in the 2 signs prior, in its own sign, or 2 signs following. His Mercury sign could only be in Gemini, Cancer or Leo. Only 3 possible choices.

What's more important than the Sun sign, which could play only a minor role, is to look at the Cancerian Male's Moon sign, or the Moon sign of anyone. Oftentimes, the Moon sign dwarfs the sun sign. And, look at the Ascendant.

Cancer is considered to be the most feminine of signs, so any male born with this feminine sun sign is not going to be comfortable with it, and to overcompensate for the femininity, you'll see a number of them displaying extra-masculine behavior. Think Cancerian Male Sylvester Stallone/Rambo or Tom Cruise.

If a Cancerian Male has an airy Moon sign, like Libra/Gemini/Aquarius, you won't, in a million years, guess this man's sun sign, as the Moon sign all but takes over! These are the air/water types, which lends itself to dynamic personalities, and unpredictability. Same can happen with other watery sun signs, like Scorpio & Pisces.

The moon sign can exemplify the characteristics of the any sign more so than the sun sign.

Meet up with a man with a Cancer Moon, and only then will you see Cancer at his/her worst or best! And this particular moon sign creates some of the best listeners of the zodiac. No need ever to repeat something to these people.

Trump's 2 Cancer placements is what gives him that "thin-skinnedness" that's often hurled at him, and he's a Gemini sun sign w/ an overly-optimistic Moon in Sagittarius, and a hot/quick-tempered Mars in Leo sitting in the first house of Aries. Trump's penchant for coming across as being so tough, that originates with his feminine Cancer placements. Harder the shell, softer the center!

I don't know if this counts, but my ex had Cancer rising. The rising sign is how you appear to others, and he gave the appearance of being kind, nurturing and a good listener. He also came across as moody and changeable, which are also Cancer traits.

Unfortunately I have Venus and Mars in Cancer, so I was strongly attracted to him. (it didn't work out.)
