I saw a video recently from a dating coach named Mr. Locario where he says that you should make a woman wait 5-10 years before deciding to marry her so that you can fully know what you are getting yourself into.

Here's the link:

What do you think of his advice? Do you think it is absurd to wait that long to marry someone if you are in love?

"Dating" and "making someone wait" are not the same thing.

He does say, "Let her wait ..." on the video clip you linked. That's just playing games.

Here's the thing ... these guys (who are not really "coaches," by the way, but opportunists taking advantage of you for your money) teach you to treat women as objects, as something to acquire. This method doesn't see women as human but as a commodity.

That means they don't see YOU as human, either, but merely as a target. He's capitalizing on your insecurity.

Ignore this kind of advice.

That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Anybody who takes this advice seriously is an idiot.

I met my wife at a party and was engaged within three months. We were married within ten months of first setting eyes on one another.

Married 27 years.

There are dating coaches now, and people pay them?

Get me off this planet now please.

Get married when, and if, you want.

The only girl who will still be by your side after 5-10 years is one who has no where else to go. Those who will make your life fabulous are the ones who are gone after two years. S-hit or get off the pot after two years.

"Let her wait" 5 - 10 years sounds like a mysogenist phrase.

I wouldn’t even consider marrying anyone until I’ve dated them for at least 5 years.
