I thought I read one dog was going with her and one dog was staying in the US or am I not remembering correctly? Maybe the one that is staying is too old or ill to travel.

I would not give up my pets for anyone or anything. I am not familiar with the details in her case, so I shall refrain from commenting.

There is no way I would give up my pets. It's one of my deal breakers.

Why don't you get familiar with the facts first??

She left the other dog with very close friends.

The palace spokesperson could not specifically explain why Markle decided to give up one of her dogs. But he did say, “It takes a toll on an animal to travel so far across Atlantic combined with the hard, long process of getting approval. … It’s in the best interest of the animal’s well-being to stay.”

Indeed, pet owners from the United States must meet a lengthy list of requirements under Britain’s Pet Travel Scheme to bring their dogs into that country — requirements that may be hard on some dogs, especially older dogs.

The Labrador-Shepherd mix is thought to be too old to make the move across the pond with Meghan, who is preparing to move in with fiancé Harry.

I wonder if she knows what she is getting into? There is only so much that a rich and famous lifestyle will compensate you for. It might be rather like selling your soul to the devil or like being in heaven on earth with Prince Charming. Is it worth risking your life for? I dont know, Dianna had a bad time of it in that family by all accounts.

This is a horrible thought, but people give up their pets all the time for spouses who aren't rich and famous.

Well, there is no amount of money that could get me to marry into the royal family and all that entails, let alone give up my beloved pet!
