Would you date a porn star? (female, family, children, divorced)

The problem with porn starts is that they have sex without the condom with multiple partners. I am sure there is some screening but who knows that it is 100%. I think I would rather date a former sex worker than a former porn start. I will not be able to date either of them if they are still "in business".
A lot of people tend to confuse this question with, "would you date someone because they are a porn star". But, it should be obvious, those are two different questions.
Here I certainly agree. I think I find exactly that is true not just here but in many places. For example there are many threads on this forum about relationships with age differences. And one point that often needs to be offered there is "There is a difference between dating someone who is much younger than you despite the fact they are much younger than you - and because of the fact they are much younger than you". Because the latter is much more creepy than the latter.
So yes I agree that it pays to contrive to make it clear that we are talking about whether you would date someone _despite_ them working in porn or _because_ they are working in porn. But certainly having re-read my posts on this thread I am not one of the ones who needs that clarified.

Personally, I would. I don't say that because I have fantasies of dating a beautiful porn star, I say that because if I like a woman, I like her no matter what her job is. In fact, in some ways I'm probably a porn star's ideal guy. I wouldn't obsess over their work (I'm sure there are creepy dudes who start asking creepy questions once they find out a woman does porn) and I don't really judge people on their jobs unless they sell drugs or are involved in some other criminal enterprise.
Given the fact that in live in New Jersey and not LA or Miami, the chances of me actually dating a porn star are slim to none.
creepy guys ask creepy girls creepy questions. porn is creepy. creepy people are drawn to other creeps.
Nothing inherently creepy about porn really. It depends on the particular genre and motivations behind it. I would say there is a spectrum there with quite a lot of diversity.

Obviously, this is true. It's a bit humorous though because so many people hate condoms and find excuses not to use them ...and I guess they pretend the other person has never had sex before? Why does it only come up when we're talking about the extreme case of a porn star? At least professionals are tested frequently where most others just bury their heads (figuratively, at least) in the sand.
There's a handful of non-sex-worker ladies I know of that have enough multiple partners to put some porn stars to shame. I'm pretty sure they are higher risk of STDs because they aren't interested in protecting their future income earning which requires some healthy safe sex habits.... they are risk takers... users.. etc.
They creep me out in the same manner that pimps do. They get off on controlling people.
I'd sooner stay clear of people like them than a porn star.
The assumption that someone is in some way mentally compromised because they do sex work is not a safe assumption. This is your own biases coming into play and it is not bourne out by any studies. And what studies people do cite to support that bias tend not to say what people want to think they do.
The majority of people doing sex work are healthy and otherwise entirely normal people. To assume mental issues on their behalf is simply assumption and nothing more. Your assertion that "Most pornstars have mental problems" is one you have simply made up from nothing.
In fact even people who do not do sex work are interested in expressing themselves through porn. There are many sites on the internet for example where people can make and distribute porn purely for the fun of it. Like Newbie Nudes for example. There is no financial benefit. People just _enjoy_ producing porn sometimes. And some people get paid for it. Some do not.
Sexual expression and exploration is perfectly natural. That some people happen to get paid for it is too.

Anything that pays the rent is probably better than being homeless. The bigger issue is kids. I have no interest in becoming a stepdad.
At least we now have evidence of how far down the list "single mom" actually ranks.
