How Common are Threesomes?
I used to think threesomes (menage a trois) is very rare, possibly only done in porn movies, but with recent reports of the ex-governor of New Jersey having a threesome with his ex-wife and chauffeur, I'm beginning to wonder if this type of sexual activity is more common than is reported or admitted. Any thoughts?

Three somes are very popular and becoming more so everyday with the media coverage of it. There are many people who feel that to "share" a partner is a sin or that it means that the partner doesn't want them. To indulge in three somes takes a very very secure relationship. If you are 100% sure that your partner loves you then it can be just sexual exploration and fun. It is normally the guy that brings up three somes. If you do NOT want to nhave three somes then you must say NO and not go along with it to just please your partner. Today there are so many ways to meet like minded "swingers" that it is becoming more and more popular. It can be fun or end a good relationship, depending on your real motive to do it.

I don't know how common actually doing it is, but according to how many times the subject has come up on this forum, talking about it is more popular than ever.

I have a feeling that threesomes are something that are a lot hotter in fantasy than in practice.
I really doubt the "threesome" is becoming the Next Big Thing or anything like that.

Sex in general is a lot hotter in fantasy than in practice.

Living in Las Vegas where clubs that cater to this kind of fun are common, and a sometimes visitor to these clubs ourselves, I can assure you that this lifestyle is much more common then I can even exaggerate to you.
Those who are into this are not lowlife single men nor can you target any stereotype. You can find Lawyers, Judges, cops and of course the all too common politicos but mostly local city hall types, taxi drivers, many casino workers, and so on.
There are black, white, skinny, fat, short, good looking and ugly people and everything inbetween. It is in no way a game for the ultra beautiful people only.
I might also want to add that this practice is no place for jealousy. Jealousy is a disease. Jealousy is a terrible sickness. Like some one said above, you must be 100% comfortable with your spouse and have complete trust. If you are the type that gets mad at your spouse for looking at a member of the oppisite sex walking in the mall then this is no place for you.

I think there is a whole lot more "chewing" about the topic than actually "doing." So to speak.

Just a thought from an old broad who remembers "swinging" and "menages a trois" being something from the 70s - I guess what goes around comes around. Times change but then again they don't. Fantasy has always been part of human nature but taking that step to actually indulge in the fantasy often has disastrous results. Cheers!

I don't know how popular threesomes are....
Also add, that when your really in love with someone, sex for me, became something awesomely spiritual....it isn't always about how your partner performs, but the feelings within oneself for that person which boils over into a...well, I'll stop here... what I'm tying to explain is....I found being deeply in love with a man, and indulging in intimacy, made the intimacy all that more spectacular....precious, soft, caring and spiritually satisfying....like an out of body experience, which to me, took it way beyond fantasy. And I kept thinking, this is what God wanted man/women to experience when he granted us that gift. Also felt, now, I really know and have experienced, unconditional love....the feelings within me were so complete, so beyond what I ever imagined sexual intimacy...it was indeed a oneness....beautiful...and more then I had ever imagined.
But to indulge in a threesome? I could never do that.
