There are always ways to do this just one inch shy of calling it prostitution and winding up in the clink.

Do the ads literally say "I will have sex with you for $x?" If not of can be hard to prove it is solicitation of this type.

Whores aren't dumb. Johns are, though. They'll go running for it even knowing there may be a pimp waiting right around the corner with a tire iron.
Actually the "stings" on Backpage mostly (Craigslist is no different) have the cops saying the same things as the escorts such as "donations" "full service" etc.

Of course it might be hard to prove you were only looking for an oil change at the local Motel 6.

It's pretty obvious the intent is sex unless of course you take the escort out for dinner or something. Some decide not to go in, and before pulling out the money are brought down by police.

And they get the joy of getting their picture taken and broadcasted on the 11 news.

So technically "escorting" is legal, but in reality it's not. There is no sympathy for the 'Johns' in the court system. The prostitute will be working again in a week. Probably not the case for John.

These ads violate terms of service and can be flagged off by users.

The great thing about Craigslist as opposed to other sites or the streets is you can find a real amateur (not someone seeing 10 guys in a day) who just needs a bit of extra cash to pay a phone bill or something.
