Why do men not like V Day?

Well my husband told me yesterday, we're going out today (V day) coz he deserves it, he's not sure if I do, LOL, WTF. I was like

Honestly, my husband only started taking me out every weekdays and special occasions when he got his present job with better everything. I actually told him and remember him telling me he does not like steak. Coz in the old house with his old job when we go grocery shopping, I suggest him to buy steak and he says no. Fast forward to now, he stocks up on steak if it's on sale and we have steak every Sunday. WTF, LOL.

My husband is having fun for Valentine's Day. I gave him a whole lot of good chocolate and have a gift going to his office today.

I don't think he has any complaints.

We went to lunch together last weekend while the in-laws had the kids. It was pretty casual. That was plenty. We didn't even officially do it for V Day, it just coincided with it just being the two of us.

Last night he gave me candy, just like I gave him candy, LOL. We could have bought our own candy if we really wanted it. It's not about the candy. Or the meal out. Or anything like that. A grownup can "buy" his or her own stuff. It was about having thought of eachother.

Anybody who has to "buy" a Valentine's Day date with hundreds of dollars is far over-reaching.

Try having an actual relationship, not renting one for one day a year. If it's the latter expect to not have as much fun as your fantasies might have taken you to. If you don't want a relationship, that's fine, but don't rent-a-date for one day a year. That's JUST as dumb as this ongoing complaint of what girls "demand" for V-Day. What's more mature about "having" to have a date for one specific day a year? Just leave it alone and take some random girl out next week instead. See where that goes.

Let’s just say the Diss, for once, hit a home run on Vday for the first time ever. I’m not telling anyone here how but please believe Diss did one thing right.

Escorts charge by the hour and are a sure thing every day of the year. If your relationship is based on a quid pro quo like you describe, it is basically like dating a prostitute.

Yes...plus, you're guaranteed sex with the escort. Not with your bought date. So why bother with the subterfuge? Either way she just wants "something" from you. Just go with a prostitute if sex is the goal of Valentine's Day. Why "spend" on a date, then hate and resent her forever (and have a low opinion of women) because she didn't put out in thanks? That's not her job. If you want someone whose job that is...then hire someone whose job that is.

You clearly don't live in the North East. Hard to do picnic in February here
