Fine, don't go, then. Why are you dragging us into this?

And btw, it's not about pleasing "people". It's about honoring a commitment you made to your gf, presumably someone about whom you care deeply.

But, oh well. Who cares, right? Blow off your gf; you didn't seem to care to much for her, anyway.
