Again, he said he wanted a break from the relationship, I needed one too....I would like the break to be beneficial to both of us in that we see that being together was good (even though like all relationships it had it's Ups/Downs)...knowing that he wanted the break more than me, I know it's a good time for me to enjoy it whether it remains a break or we get back together...ya know?

Love is a long strange trip sometimes...I just like to get outside opinions instead of talking with my girlfriends because I can get a more unopinionated opinion from outside people & not harass my friends who, I'm sure you can imagine, have heard it all & don't want to hear anymore...
So, to be his ex is to watch him on a "break" and going out with other people? No thank you...to me it says you are a doormat and what kind of impression does that give him? Good luck on the "long strange trip" you call love but I call it letting him have his cake & all the other desserts on the menu.

Wow. You are every roaming dog's dream. "Temporary break from relationship" = "Messing around while not technically cheating on you."

I wish I had an extra spine I could loan you.
