Someone once gave me a series of DVDs teaching dances like that, it is still on our "things to do list".

DH is naturally a good dancer, and I..... less so. But I do want to learn.

HC is one of my new friends. I'm sure he laughed too.

You know you're friends with somebody when you can tease them knowing they'll laugh.

You should look up Cornel and Rithika if you haven't seen their Bachata. They are amazing!

I don't really want to be danced "at." I don't want a lot of moves as the showoff part of some mating ritual.

Any dancing I've ever done, has been way less structured than any of this, we took ourselves way less seriously, and slow dancing was always the best part, and that's hardly a move at all...more like a sway, LOL.

That's just me.

@JerZ, yeah, anybody can do that... or learn it in 5 minutes. The Maroon 5 video I posted is closest to what I like.

It’s always been seen that way. That’s why Baptist’s aren’t allowed to dance

The metaphor behind the old dance cards back in the day is pretty interesting.

I'm glad I'm not a Baptist.

Kesha: "Blow"

https://youtu.be/CFWX0hWCbng

Dance
Back door, cracked we don't need a key
We get in for free
No VIP sleaze
Drink that Kool Aid follow my lead
Now you're one of us
You're coming with me
It's time to kill the lights and
Shut the D.J. down
This place's about to
Tonight we're taken over
No one's getting out!
This place's about to blow, oh-oh-oh!
Blow-oh-oh-oh
This place's about to blow
Blow-oh-oh-oh
This place's about to blow
Blow-oh-oh-oh
This place's about to blow
Blow-oh-oh-oh
This place's about to

Now what we're taking control
We get what we want
We do what you don't
Dirt and glitter cover the floor
We're pretty and sick
We're young and we're bored
It's time to lose your mind
And let the crazy out
This place's about to
Tonight we're taking names
'Cause we don't mess around
This place's about to blow-oh-oh-oh
Blow-oh-oh-oh
This place's about to blow
Blow-oh-oh-oh
This place's about to blow
Blow-oh-oh-oh
This place's about to blow
Blow-oh-oh-oh
This place's about to
Go
Go go go insane go insane
Throw some glitter
Make it rain on and let me see them hands
Let me see their hands hands
Go insane go insane
Throw some glitter
Make it rain on and let me see them hands
Let me see their hands hands
Let me let me see their hands
We are taking over (blow-oh-oh-oh)
Get used to it, OK
This place's about to blow-oh-oh-oh
Blow-oh-oh-oh
This place's about to blow-oh-oh-oh
Blow-oh-oh-oh
This place's about to blow-oh-oh-oh
Blow-oh-oh-oh
This place's about to blow-oh-oh-oh
Blow-oh-oh-oh
This place's about to blow
