I think the bolded statement is actually the truth for a lot of people. You misread a situation and then you end up romanticizing about what things could be, instead of what things truly are.
The hardest part of removing yourself from a friendship that never was, is accepting that you misread the situation, licking your wounds, and healing your ego.
She’s verbally maintained the where friends thing for at least most of the time I just took a shot.
It’s just weird because a month ago she pretty much almost raped me in the back of an uber lol and since then she’s been acting the opposite.
Even when she was married she’d kinda flirted with me.. one of the first times I met her when she was dating my friend he fell asleep and she sat on my lap and licked my face lol..When I recently ran into a friend I hadn’t seen in years who used to be in my social circle I told her that where hanging out pretty regularly now and she said it see obvious that she had the hots for me.. so we’ve always had that kind of thing going then when we started out hanging out one on one and started connecting emotionally that’s when I started catching feelings for her..before that I looked at her as a sister..
I understand the conflict, but what specifically are you thinking while "trying to get over her?"
A lot of things..Nothing in specific terms I’m just trying to get those romantic feelings over with..I guess sadness in that sense but I feel a little anger because I feel I was used for male companionship and now that she’s with someone she has no use for me anymore..Yet she’s the happy one and I’m the one who feels bad
