This friend seems to want you to be some kind of creep. You are better off doing what you are doing and just stopping all pursuit when you hear a no.
This chasing after the no actually lowers your perceived value in some cases. Moving it along communicates that you at least have self respect.
Knowing that there are tons of different people with different values, desires, preferences, etc. I have no choice but to believe that a no is a no. And I believe that if I keep chasing after a no, I am actually cheating myself.
I k(no)w that there is a yes somewhere out there. I am going for the yeses. Not the maybes.
