Yep. More so for ideas. But he generally knows what I like.

What would you love to receive this year from your partner?
I added vinyl records and various types of dark chocolate to my list. And an incense burner. We also exchange books the other hasn't read and choose a book to read together.
I always ask for a customized calendar with recent pictures of the past year by month. My wife takes tons of pics of our trips and weekend outtings so it’s a good way to remember the prior year.
Other than that I have very low budgets asks so I can give her 4-5 solid ideas and let her go from there.
Christmas has become so commercialized, even this post shows that. "What do you want" It's so sad that society and big box stores have made Christmas all about giving gifts. Most people used to be happy with midnite church visit, prayer, and realizing what the day is in celebration of. Now, first of all, Christmas has to be all universal, no religious overtones, and all that. Then everyone is judged by the $$$ value of the gift they give, so people have a Credit Card Christmas, not really enjoying it, just automatically worrying about how they will pay off all the stuff that they put on credit to show off. I never ask for anything. Someone gives me a gift, great, if not, their company and a meal are more than satisfying and enjoyable for me. I give gifts, so dont believe I'm Grinch. I'm just fed up with the whole $$$$$ signs that are associated with Chri$$tma$$. Enjoy your day(s) off from work, have a good time, turn the big screen off, play ball or hide and seek with your kids, hell, play Monopoly, Risk, Life. Talk to them, LISTEN!! to what they say. SPEND TIME with the ones you love. Give them your TIME, true honest no electronic leashes to distract anyone, turn them off, for 24 hours. Talk face to face. Merry Christmas to all.
I really don't care about gifts that much as long as some thought was put into it. Of course my feelings would be hurt if he didn't get me anything or he bought me something truly terrible but he's been good at gift giving so far so I'm not concerned.
I bought him a few things but nothing extravagant. He's very sentimental so I made sure to get him a few personalized gifts (an xmas ornament with our names on it, a framed picture of us) and a few practical things as well (a jacket, a shirt, underware.)
I want stone crabs, Champagne, and my son, brother, dad. I'll get two or three.
