News..Man get 18 years.
For knowingly spreading HIV and infected several women...Is the punishment harsh enough? Women, be aware that animals like this are out there.

I don't think that it's harsh enough. He is pretty much killing these women slowly.

Absolutely not but it just shows that justice in not swift and harsh in other countries either. Something really needs to be done in general but in his case, I think castration would work well.

Horrible. Nope, 18 years is not enough considering these were in the context of sexual assault.
18 years for knowingly spreading HIV during consensual sex sounds about right.

No one should be subjected to that. Was it by force though?

It's a little unclear what sexual assault is referring to (spreading HIV or having sex w/o consent).
But one victim claimed he had sex with her while she was "blacked out" - sounds like assault to me???

No, it wasn't by force. Per another article I read about this, the guy was in denial about the fact that he was HIV positive. He'd convinced himself that the test he'd taken was a false positive because he never showed any symptoms. So he continued to have relationships with women and never told them that he'd tested positive. I believe the article said that he'd tested positive in 2004 and in that time he'd slept with about 24 women and out of the 24 a total of 5 had become positive. I hope the other women learned a valuable lesson about using protection, even though having sex with someone HIV positive doesn't mean you'll necessary get it from them but they have to realize at least now that they're playing russian roulette with their lives.
