My 5 year old daughter has stuffed animals named Sparkle and Glitter. She also has a pet betta fish that she named "Hearts and Flowers". Maybe I should ask her what the OP should name her kid? She might come up with some good ideas.
Let me guess...are Sparkle and Glitter unicorns? LOL
Why did you choose to make a baby with a man whose intelligence level is "debatable"?
He is, smarter than you because he realizes the wisdom (or lack thereof, as the case may be) in giving a baby girl a name better suited for a stripper or prostitute.
That's exactly my wife's reason for picking traditional names. "How will it look on a resume when they're 30?"
There a waitress named Velveeta at one of our favorite restaurants. That can't be real. She is a great waitress, though!
A porn star named August Ames committed suicide in 2017. Her birth name was Mercedes. You can draw your own conclusions there.
When I hear the name Mercedes, I think of the actresses Mercedes Ruel and Mercedes McCambridge. I actually think Mercedes is pretty. I guess it comes down to your frame of reference.
Well we can only really agree on Mercedes so probably going with that. What do you guys think of using a different middle name?
I see nothing wrong with "Rose". Maybe leave the unusual names in the middle-name position. You can call the child by the name you prefer, but she may choose the more conventional name, when she gets a little older.
I vote for Rose. I wouldn't name my kid after a car (Mercedes), unless the child were Hispanic. Otherwise, why not "Cadillac", or "VW Bug"?
What do you do if your boyfriend won't agree to a baby name? We're having a girl i want to go with something different like either Sparkle Rose or Glitter Mercedes. Boyfriend will not agree with any baby names i like. Who has final say if you can't agree on a baby name?
My ex-husband and I could not agree on a name for our daughter. Eventually, I wrote a short list of names I could live with and he chose one. (IIRC, there were 8 names on that list).
My brother and his first wife took turns naming their babies. They had 6, so each spouse named 3 children.
Since the two of you are having a baby together, you have to learn to compromise. There will likely be many parenting decisions the two of you will need to make without being in 100% agreement with each other.
So obviously the OP isn't for real, but surely there's some middle ground between "Sparkle" and the sorts of names your elderly maiden aunt would consider stodgy that people keep suggesting. "How about Gertrude!"
Why do you say that? People give their children unusual names all the time.
IDK, OP (still there? OP??). How long is this bf likely to stick around? Maybe tell him, that if he wants a say over the baby's name, he can marry you, to get naming rights. Or is that not a good idea? Is he stable? Hard-working? No issues?
