It's also commonly understood to mean a guy who acts all badass and like he doesn't care about what "no Mod cut: languagebe thinkin" when he's around his male friends, but suddenly turns into aMod cut: languagewhipped gentleman when he's alone with his GF or wife.

Yes, exactly. I think the burning question that needs to be answered, here, for the sake of Western Civilization and all we hold dear, is: Can a woman be a simp, or is it exclusively the domain of males of the species?

I don't think it's good idea to put anyone on a pedestal, man or woman. I've never put a woman on a pedestal, and I'd feel very uncomfortable it it was the reverse. I'd feel like I constantly have to live up to a certain expectation which is not how I'd want to live my life.
