He is not an ideal candidate for you, anyway. He is going through a divorce, has a small child and is living with his mother. For these reasons alone, he has a lot of work ahead of him to rebuild his life and simply isn't in a position to focus all of his attention on a new relationship. He is going through a huge life transition and isn't going to be emotionally available to the degree that you are looking for.
