I have stated he doesn’t have to go, but if he never chooses to do things with us, I don’t see the point of him being in our lives. I have tried a few tactics with him, with no suck luck. I have left without him. I have tried nagging him with the time. We have sat in the car, honking the horn.

What is the best way to deal without someone that causes everyone to be late?

Right now I am supposed to meet my parents and son for dinner in 45 minutes. He is in the bathroom watching YouTube videos. I have to stop at their house and pick up something and have a 45-60 minute drive to even get to the restaurant.

He is always forcing me to drive like a nut to get somewhere on time.

I've got a simple solution. Whatever time you are going to tell him, make it thirty minutes less. That way, he'll think he's late, but he might even be early to things from that point on. Only you'll know the truth. Problem solved.

Personally, I've always been on time myself. I hate being late. Usually, I am a bit early. That's just me, so that would annoy me too.

Who watches youtube in the bathroom. That is strange.

Have you two picked a wedding date? I wouldn't be rushing into it, if I were you.

Go ahead without him. He’s obviously not interested. We have family members who are perpetually late for dinner. We got tired of it and start without them, now. They wander in whenever. At least we’re not starving and waiting.

This exit is well past its 100th episode. I keep on thinking it’s ended, but alas, there he is, returning for another season with no redeeming qualities or character growth.

How is your life with your fiance otherwise? Does he care for you at all? It looks like you desperately want this relationship to succeed, but he could care less.
You are low on luck with this one. It's not going to be better with the time. Bear it or let him go...

You have literally told him “you don’t have to go but if you don’t go you are no longer important to me” and still wonder why he wouldn’t care to be in time?
