I am a resident of Ukraine, and not by hearsay I know about all the scams that turn crooks from the CIS countries.
*Last year I got to work in Poland, and then for the first time I heard about this type of fraud as fraud in dating
Europeans and wealthy men from other countries.
*Then my colleague in Poland told me his story for the first time, and asked if I could help him and punish this crook,
I was so stunned by this story, with so much arrogant and mean-spirited deception that my new acquaintance had experienced, that he decided to help him.
Upon my return to Ukraine, for a start, I checked the data that she provided, and the passport data. My friend from the police helped me in this.
It immediately turned out that the passport was a woman who is much older in age, who lived in a small town in the Dnipropetrovsk region,
and it did not at all coincide with her legend, and that she lives in Kiev and she is 23 years old, and she works as a fitness trainer,
but unfortunately, as we found out later, there was not even such a fitness club.
Then began the most difficult of her searches. for a start, we found out where the money was received by the Western Union, it was not difficult to make the sender,
She requested the money for a trip, and cash for presentation at customs. And we found out that it was received in Poltava. And then everything is completely confused
and we began to track it with letters, and continued communication to collect at least some information. We were able to lure her with a gift, for a personal transfer,
but she still found the reason why she couldn’t take it personally. We agreed to meet, she said that it would be her friend, who could pick up the package in Kiev,
from the bus. there I already got on her mark when a young guy met a parcel instead of a girl.
He was so scared that he told everyone who asked him to get the package, and gave more information.
We were able to write a statement to the police, and as it turned out, it was a whole office of such workers, who on a large stream deceived gullible men.
Of course, we could not return the money that was sent, but we were able to punish them. It was the most important thing, and felt the satisfaction,
that men will no longer suffer from their actions.
My friend advised me to share a story, and offer to help men who are deceived, and maybe even prevent the deception that you can expect.
I hope I can help someone.

Thank. It was a difficult adventure. It is important that we punish them. I analyzed a lot of forums and articles, I came to the conclusion that tens of thousands of fraudsters work on the territory of Ukraine and Russia. And many more men may suffer from their actions. Not an option just to give up on acquaintance with Slavic women, but an option to help and become competent in security concerns from fraudsters. Then the scammers just stop making money, and begin to work in normal work, and not cheat on gullible men.

This is the thing. You were able to catch and prosecute one group, but there are so many more! And the ones working in that room probably were only workers; the owners of the business were probably careful to make themselves invisible. They'll start over again with new workers in a different office. Even if you did catch the owners, this type of "business" is like a weed that sprouts up everywhere.

Still, congratulations on your victory. We actually had a someone posting here a few months ago, whose story sounded just like what you said. Actually, it was a female friend of an older man, who fell for the whole routine, and she wanted to try to convince him it was a scam. He was asked to send money for "visa expenses". But the "visa expenses" never stopped. There was always a demand for more. This poor guy really believed the profile he read, about a young ballet dancer with the Ukrainian national ballet, who was going to get an American tourist visa to come visit him. Of course, he didn't know that it's impossible for a young, single person from Ukraine or Russia to get a tourist visa for the US. He didn't know that the "visa expenses" together with the cash requirement for Customs/Immigration are only a few hundred $$. He truly believed that a young ballet dancer was interested in an old man as a possible marriage partner.

It's very sad. Thank you for your efforts. It's good to know that the police over there care about this problem.

This is of course very difficult, especially since the man in old age, more danger brought him information about her fraud. It is likely that he has already cooled down after this story. And of course it is a pity that he did not check the information about her in time, it would save his money and nerves. It would be a good story if he told me more and we tried to find her, that she would get punishment.

Is it really a "she", though? You said it was a group of people in a room. It could have been anyone; it could have been a man pretending to be a woman.

So, what happened to the people you caught? Did they go to jail, and if so, for how long?

I had a situation where a woman on Facebook, although not Russian, but South America, was asking if I knew anyone that would be willing to marry her for the sole purpose of obtaining citizenship. Apparently, she had lived and worked in my state temporarily. Enjoyed her time here, and wanted in the states full time.

She wasn't as scammer, but I was talking straight to the person that wanted to get in the states. I have heard about these arrangements. She said she'd paid whomever that got her in. Apparently, she had a decent paying job, just wanted to get out of South America. I told her that she'd just be caught in an illegal immigration sting if she were to try that and said that she'd do us in the United States a favor and not be an extra illegal coming to America. It was my nice way to tell her to **** off and get into the states by legal means.

Then there are those Russian anchor babies thing that's going on where places put them up while the lady is 9 mos preggers, pop out the kid, and now they have an anchor baby. Sadly, these Russian are sadly mistaken that a baby being born in the US grants them carte blanche to American soil.

Unfortunately, in my country there is no complete justice. After the statement, a criminal case was opened. They stopped their work, the pre-trial investigation is going on, I do not know yet when the results will be. But I know for sure that they stopped their work. I do not think that men communicate under the guise of girls. As a rule, men who are involved in this scheme have other responsibilities. Perform technical assignments, in the form of organizing the receipt of funds, or other work.

I now remember more of the story someone posted here, about the "ballet dancer". The man actually spent his own money to go to Ukraine, to meet the person he considered to be his "love". He said she was always busy; he was never able to meet her. She told him after he arrived, that she was leaving on tour with the ballet troupe. This disappointment did not cause him to question the entire story, though. He went home, and continued his correspondence with her.

This fits your research; the women never actually appear to the men interested in them. They remain in the background, as if behind a curtain.

This is just to check at any stage. There is a lot of knowledge already in this matter. I hope I can help someone. There is only one problem. How to bring it to people? That they would always be safe, and did not fall into such situations
