Catcalling: creepy or a compliment? (date, women, kids, attractive)

I caught this article on CNN: Catcalling: creepy or a compliment? Guys and gals, what do you think? Do you have any stories you want to share? I never catcall and never get catcalled.

Beowulf7- Do you need to ask??? It is CREEPY!

The cat calls I would get before I had kids gaggling behind me would start with the whistles and inevitably turn into something more crude. Finally I came up with my signature line... " Do you talk to your mother with that mouth?". That stopped them pretty quick.

Ahhhh, the good ole days!

mrstewart, I thought it was pretty interesting that the story made the front page of cnn.com. I just wanted to get others' opinion and stories. Some women like being catcalled, as the story mentioned. But many, like yourself, don't appreciate that kind of attention.

I will also be interested to see the responses from other women. Hopefully I will not be alone in my response!!! Maybe that's why I didn't date much... naw. I'm just picky!

I've missed it in this lawsuit-obsessed country. I find it fun. Still fondly remember the teen in the car next to mine at the lights who wanted to find a job and take care of me. Not too bad. I could've been technically his Mom.

Ladies, a piece of advice from me! If you ever feel unattractive, go and get your spirits lifted in Istanbul!

I wouldn't mind some good natured fun and compliments, but when they start getting sexually explicit, it freaks me out!

What's CREEPY is when someone I've never met comes up to me and starts rubbing against me!

With that said, TKramar, you sure have some crazy stories! They never cease to amaze me! Someone rubbing up against me would definitely warrant a nice swift kick in the pants, if not more.
