Default Marry some one with B2 status

Hi All,

Please help me with this personal issue:

I am in love with someone who has come form India on B2 to meet me. Right now I am on L1 visa.

I know we can convert from B2 to l2. However I have following queries:
Is it required to convert B2 to L2 or direclty apply for L2?

In either of the case is there any difference? Is so what?

Documents required to get directly L2 based on L1 or convert B2 to L2?

How much time does it take for the entire process?

After getting L2 immediately he can work?

Thanks a lot foe looking into my concerns.

Regards,

Trips

You're on a L-1 intracompany transfer visa and your friend/boyfriend is on a traveler's visa, correct?

You're going to need to contact an immigration lawyer concerning this. Perhaps an adjustment of status could be made, but the L-1 visa does not have a dual-intent like the H-1B visa which would allow you to get legal permanent resident status.

Check with an immigration lawyer, that would be your best bet.
