I was in love with a little boy named Billy in kindergarten. In order to gain his favor and make an impression, I told him I could jump a rope 20 times without tripping. Of course when the time came to actually do it, I was so nervous that I tripped after about the third jump.
Oh, Billy...I hardly knew ye.
Before that, though, I had a longstanding affection for Mr. Green Jeans. I was pretty sure we'd get married some day. I liked playing in the grass and he was a farmer/gardener. We had common interests. It just seemed to make sense.
I wish I could tell you that my criteria for picking life mates has improved over time.
That seems to be a common activity among young girls. What were the guys doing during that time - probably writing their names in the snow or giving each other wedgies.

Yeah... jumping... not a good trend... jumping through hoops... jumping "how high"... Hope you outgrew your jumping inclinations!

I hate to be the one to tell you, JerZ, but Mr. Greenjeans and the Captain were an "item" for years.
Now Bunny Rabbit, on the other hand, WAS available.
First thru fifth grade. Back in the early 60's. Identical twins. Pam and Linda Jewel! I still have NO idea which one gave me my first kiss! They wouldnt tell! Sadly, they died together in a car crash while in the Peace Corp. in South America.
I may be gone for a while. I have to go and rethink my life.
Don't slip on the peels...
