If you've played intelligently and not bet over your head, you survive...and learn.
And what exactly would the need for that be...? Let's assume we're talking about a current hetero couple in which the people are simply together because they want to be together (excluding open ones). Just the need to explore other species...?

As I said, you learn. A couple that stops learning, that stops moving forward, is essentially a dead couple.

Well, by the same token you can learn about homicide, I guess... After that you can learn how it feels being in jail... followed by how life after jail looks like... Most people don't need this knowledge.

One never knows what knowledge one will need...

...or are you agreeing with VictorianPunk that if you just read about something there's really no need to experience it?

Dear PFT (Posters For Threesomes),

Sex is akin to a celebration of life imho. When you start using words like "survive" and "dead couple" when speaking of sexual practices all I hear is rhetoric,blah,blah,rhetoric,blah,blah.......

I certainly feel no need to experience what I mentioned... Don't see how the knowledge would benefit me in any way, either.

Guess we shouldn't mention "little death" or "being stiff" anymore, then...

It's amazing, but I've heard so many phrase it that way - "I don't need this knowledge - it's useless - it has no purpose".

One is taught in accordance with one's capacity to learn.
