I hate that line. It's sad to see so many elderly people shoved off into a nursing home because they can't be taken care of by their kids. Most times the kids don't even visit their parents in the home.
Plus I think it's pretty selfish to have children for the sole purpose of being your nurse in old age.

Not at all. It's actually easier for men to "get fixed" than women, since a lot of doctors think "we'll change our minds"
I hate doctors. They're too ageist for men and women! They're kinda steady on men between 18-25. They think some will regret it and may change their minds, and they may get sued. Not me. I'm strong-minded and I won't change my mind.
I know several ladies in my circle that don't have kids nor do they want to. I don't think its a regional thing-I just think it depends on the person. There are some people that think its weird people don't want kids but its about personal preference. I think you will find someone that has similiar interests, although it may take time. Some women feel like they were born to have kids, some don't.

Just curious what makes you so sure at 19 that you don't want kids. I only ask because I'm a lot older and I don't want kids either . What is it about kids makes you not want them?? I was in my teens too when I was pretty darn sure I didn't want children.

I don't want to feel old. I don't want kids, nor grandchildren. I stopped being a father when I took babysat my sisters kids when I was 15 and under. They were stressful. I had to change diapers, take to bed (they cry), I try to quiet them. I was also assigned to a summer job to take care of preschoolers and that was even more stressful. I decided enough is enough.
I'm never having children and I'm almost 20.
