When you go to see a urologist he will ask you some questions about why you want to have a vasectomy. Mostly he wants to see that you are ok mentally. He's not going to give just anyone a vasectomy. He's probably going to be especially careful about young men who have no children. The reason is because vasectomy reversals do not always work. What if he gave you a vasectomy and then 10-15 years from now you changed your mind? I know you say you won't change your mind but crazier things have happened. The reason he may deny you this procedure is because he doesn't want to risk a lawsuit if you are temporarily insane or you are a young man going through a passing phase. He doesn't know you well enough to make that destinction. So rather than take the risk he will pass on you.

When I went to see him I made it very clear that I was absolutely positively finished having kids. There was no need to debate the issue. I was done. I had three kids, I had a full time job on a security clearance required program, and was well educated. Therefore even though I was fairly young (28) I was still not a risk for him so he agreed to do it.

For me it is the opposite, I feel more comfortable around women then around men, and yes I am a guy, and has nothing to do with sexual attraction. Now if i could work on my shyness, then I'll be all set.

I know people try to plant seeds to my head to try and make me change my mind, which most of you people (parents) would do. But I have my personal reasons why I never want kids. I really wouldn't try to do a reversal anyway.

Parents, I'm telling ya. I think parents are like cops, always harassing people who don't want kids and try to plant seeds, making attempts to discourage childfree people.

Dude, you're really starting to sound neurotic. If you don't want kids ever
don't have sex period, or get yourself a vasectomy, there are doctors that will do it, as a previous poster said they got to pay for their beemers.

Maybe when I'm 21, I'll get a vasectomy and I don't have to worry about getting anyone pregnant. I'll wait till I'm around my 20s to find a real woman.
