Well, all I can say Jonathan is different stokes for different folks.Lesson learned on this thread that to you women who think you are "fat" because of guys like Johnathan think again because there are guys out there with different tastes who would prefere YOU over some calendar type girl.
In certain social circles I hang out in, the lady in the picture would be about average.
The unfortunate thing is that online catalogs are so popular among plus-size ladies - and perhaps guys too - only because there aren't that many brick-and-mortar stores to choose from.

About average?! Good god that lady is the size of the Good Year Blimp! She has to be 500 pounds.
You know, I am seriously getting disgusted by how shallow a lot of you guys are coming across. This is at least the second thread I have seen on this topic, and while this thread was started in a more positive manner, I find it disturbing that several of you have such shallowness about physical appearances. (I am not naive - I know people with that kind of opinion are out there - I am just surprised at the lack of class some of you show while discussing this topic). Apparently, those of us that are not as perfect as you are up for you to judge us as you please. While she may not be your perfect ideal, the woman in that picture you posted was a very pretty lady, and I am sure many men would find her attractive. For that, you belitte her and the men.
While I don't condone being overweight, and I believe in a healthy lifestyle, a lot of people are heavier than is considered healthy. It is a result of the American lifestyle that has become more prevalent over the last 30 years. Some choose do something about it, and others do not. For some, it is a lifelong struggle - for others, it is medical or psychological. Whatever the reason, it doesn't put anyone in a position to judge. I have many friends, one of them my best friend, who are not what society would consider ideal. But they are beautiful women with a lot to offer, and most of them are married to wonderful men who were smart enough to recognize that.
For what it's worth, I just wanted to put my two cents in for those of us women that you consider less than perfect, or even repulsive.
