I've made that walk twice. The first was a starter marriage when I was 18 and very rebelious. Lasted less than a year. The second one I was 25. Lasted 6 years and we have one child. I am now shacking up with my fiancee. We have known each other 5 years, dated 3, and have been living together 1 year. We are "engaged" but I don't know if we will ever actually get married, things work really well just the way they are.
Twice, first time I was 16. Thought it was a way of being FREE! WRONG! We had 3 kids, left him when my youngest was 3 months, filed for divorce the next day. I am married to my second, we have 3 kids also, for a total of 6. Today is our 14th anniversary. I'm sure this will be my final marriage.... he makes alot of money.
First at 19, because I didn't go to college (til age 23) and I thought that was what you were suppose to do to move out of your parent's house. I was wrong and left 8 months after we were married
Second, was a really crappy controlling guy - we were driving through Vegas and I joked we should get married - he said if I really loved him I would. But I was still legally married to first guy, but I did it anyway. Luckily didn't count, and I left him as soon as I could, and legally divorced them both. I was 21.
Third, is my current husband whom I've been in love with for years, my best friend, we got married at age 32.
Honestly I never wanted to be remarried but glad I did
I'm on my second (and last) marriage. I was too busy working and traveling to get married young. First marriage in my mid-30s only last 2.5 years. Second marriage happend in 2001 and we'll celebrate our 7th in mid-August . He was also married before (for 4 years.) Neither of us had kids in our first marriages, but he and have 2 daughters .
