This past weekend, we went to the big "homecoming" celebration in Nicodemus, Kansas, which was the largest ex slave settelment in the country after the war and the families still come together there. It was awesome. The People were all so nice and it was such a happy celebration. I hope I can go again some day. And I always love all black churches, they know how to have church!!

Not to be disrespectful here, but there are good and bad people in EVERY race. Not all white men are wife beaters and all black men are not prince charmings.

I am in a relationship with a white woman..Does that mean I hate all black women and they are bad? Of course not. She just happened to be the person I fell in love with, and not for superficial reasons or motives.

I have always maintained be with the person who makes you happy no matter who they are. However, when race, color or ethnicity become the sole deciding factors for a relationship, then more than likely, it's doomed to fail.

Race was not the deciding factor, it just happened to be a fact! Maybe there is some good white men still alive but I have not met one! I dont care what race a man is, what I care about is how he treats ppl and if he is honest. Something I have been watching for years, when a black person, especially a man, is the only black person in a large gathering of white ppl. for the most part, he will be treated badly and with disrespect, but many times I have been the only white person in large gatherings of black ppl and they treated me well and with respect.

Thats good Breeze823! It is amazing how many ppl lets it bother them. My sons wife is several inches taller than him, it is amazing how many people take that personally. My sisters husband is about 1 1/2 feet taller than her, ppl take that personally, my brothers wife is Thai, they take that personally. I think ppl are just not happy themselves so they can't stand to see someone else that is. I love to see ppl happy and in love, it dont matter what their circumstances are. There isnt enough of that in the world these days!

I don't have a problem with interracial dating (obviously!) but I would be very sad if a thousand years from now, human beings were completely interracially mixed and everyone with brown skin and black hair. And if that were to happen, there would be no more threads about black men and white women or Asian women. And what a crazy world that would be! Anyway, I enjoy seeing all the different races around me in daily life.

I like being a permanent light tan myself.

But just as some cultures are very proud of their heritage and want to preserve their traditions, I see nothing wrong with those that cherish their skin and hair colour and want to make children that look like themselves and their ancestors.

I have seen people waste so much time laying out in the sun and money on tanning lotions so they can look dark, then they are prejudice???? I think it is really just that they are jealous! Like the ol saying, "Black is beautiful"!

White people tan to brown, not black. Their ideal colour is to tan to a golden brown colour, not pitch black. Frankly, I think that if white people actually tanned to pitch black in colour, they would be quite upset and freaked out. And light skinned blacks are often viewed by both non blacks and blacks as more attractive and desirable than the really dark skinned ones. Meanwhile a lot of black women spend lots of time and money on straightening their hair like non-black people.

BTW I am not disagreeing about some black people being very beautiful or handsome. There are beautiful people in all races, but also plain and ugly people of all skin colours too.
