Don't assume the worst when you research someone on the 'net
One of my friends called me and was pretty concerned. He's sort of a celebrity (no, I won't reveal his name!) and he told me that his Wikipedia entry says he's married and has kids, even though he is not and has no kids. When he goes out with women, they of course Google his name and read the Wiki entry, which has that false info. He's not tech savvy, so I told him he can either edit the Wiki entry himself or contact someone there and state his case. ( See this page if you're curious.)
The moral of the story is that just b/c you Googled your date's name and think s/he is married, don't assume the worst and think s/he is leading a double life that you read so much about. It could be that the Web actually has some fake info.!  |

I wouldn't rely on Wiki for such information. I have sites that I use that can tell me things alot more reliable such as the Court Clerk of the county they live in or www.knowx.com if they are in Texas or Florida. |
