MEN and WOMEN: Bachelor party or not?
So here it goes:
1. Would you be furious/ let your SO go to a bachelor party?
2. Whatever your answer is, please state your gender.
Out of inspiration from another topic, I'd like to know how many out there are for AND against the idea of a bachelor party of dancers (just dancers, not hookers!).
Thx much!

I'm a female and I would not marry a man who needed "one last night of freedom". If you need that, you are not ready to be married. My husband feels the same way, he didn't want me to have one either. My in-laws hosted our bachelor/ette party, it was a joint party, a bar-b-que. It was tons of fun and since we did that almost all of our friends have followed suit and had their bachelor parties together as well.
It's not an insecurity at all and I actually have several friends who are dancers. I just don't believe that a person who needs one last night of freedom has any business getting married. At some point we all need to grow up. We did the stripper thing when we turned 18, no need to perpetuate the situation.

I`m a female, and I don`t see any reason for it.
I don`t think that he would be happy, if I went to a all male dancer party for my bachelor/ette party, so whats good for one, is good for the other.
If he wants to witness a dancer, then he can wait until he is married, and watch me dance all over the place.

I really don't care. My husband has been to bachelor parties like that. The last one was in Vegas and he said all the married guys ended up calling it a night early. The groom was hoping for this really wild event, but forgot that all his friends were happily married and kind of resented being dragged to Vegas. But, they all went, so he should have been happy for that. Since then, I think my husband has also been to bachelor parties that have routed through strip clubs. He doesn't hate it, of course, but it isn't something he seeks out. I'm sure he'd rather see me naked more often, because then it would actually lead somewhere.

"Let"?
My girlfriend doesn't need my permission to do a thing. If she wants to have a bachelorette party filled with strippers, I have no objection. I'd be very surprised if she does, however.
And I have no desire whatsoever for a bachelor party. As far as strippers/dancers go, I usually just end up sad and feeling sorry for them.

Very good point Timm. But you would be AMAZED to find out of how many women out there think that their BF's/ husbands are like their sons, and think that they should have the "right" to say what they "let" or do not "let". I guess me and my SO are few of the "weird" couples that do not use the word "let" in our vocabs w/ each other. He doesn't need my permission to do anything because he's respectable of me, and vice versa with me.
Just trying to get a feel of what's the majority feeling is out there.

I guess it ultimately makes you realize what kind of person you've decided to be with for the rest of your life.
My husband had zero interest in strip clubs and strippers - Know what? I made sure to date a guy like that. Not that it would have mattered to me, it's just I have dated guys who oogled at strip clubs and acted like pigs - they were not marriage material
My husband bachelor party consisted of WAY too much alcohol. But a hummer limo, and it took them out to a race track, where they gave him money to gamble with and put him in some presidential box and had a fancy schmacy dinner (which was puked up after said alcohol) and then they went out to a club where our friends rented out and had a stage to perform a local band and he got up on stage. Oh and they dressed him up in a prison costume of course
I got a call at 4 am saying that him and a friend were stranded and needed a ride home.
I thought it was hilarious
