The Waffle House Wedding!

AP Video (http://video.ap.org/v/Default.aspx?partner=en-ap&g=9cef7047-3625-48e5-ab37-a81ba406c692&f=GALAW&mk=en-ap - broken link)

Anybody been to one approaching this in terms of...um...unconventionality?

I love eating at Waffle Houses. I'm sad that there aren't any north of Maryland.

Oh my. My cholesterol won't allow me to eat there more than once a year. But it's sooooo worth it.

I actually have some Waffle House placemats/menus in my kitchen... I usually order three eggs over easy, porkchops, hashbrowns scattered and well done. And I've brought home grits for a friend.

It doesn't surprise me. People get more and more "creative" (and in this case I'm using that term loosely) with their weddings.
My fiance and I were both on board with having a Halloween themed wedding but it's still in the works... it's an idea though - I mean how fun would it be to have everyone dress up like their favorite character?
I'll probably stay more towards the traditional side but the thoughts of coming up with something inventive and fun are interesting to think about.

BTW, my fiance LOVES Waffle House, he's from SC and they have them all over the place down south - he misses having a breakfast there from time to time...

Living in the South, I have to tell you that there's no substitute for reading the Sunday paper over breakfast with your SO while a waitress appears at the table and refills your coffee cup. And usually, they call you "Hon" too. You just gotta like that.

That being said, I don't think I'd want my wedding to be held there.
