I dont think they aim to confuse, i think they are confused. she probably decided that a boat was a good idea, after she saw you stumble off with your club.
She probably wanted the boat FIRST but whispered it in your ear in the middle of the nite then said NO cause if she said yes right away you'd be suspicious....

Why not just #$$(% ask her why she changed her mind. It is called communication. Not so confusing once you get the hang of it. Sure beats the self-flagellation.
Perhaps it could go something like this for you:
He: Me have bump on head trying to understand why you change mind
She: Me felt uneasy brushing your wishes aside, upon more careful consideration me see your side. Is good thing,no?

yea i think she thought that you would like a boat, and why not. Money is earned so that it can be enjoyed. I always believe that money is used to make people happy and not the other way around (wait... im confused now... watever)
She's being understanding about the male need to own something mechanical. Since she cant be a machine, she's gonna consider you getting your boat.
Makes sense? wclac... dont get me started on my feminist values here... i actually kinda like you men, but your posts... grr...

oh! i just saw this! oh man... sweet! Post a pic of it!
Oh shoot, I was going to say yes, we women make extra efforts to be as confusing to you as possible. That's our role in life, to confuse you - as if the world revolves around you to begin with.
You two wouldn't have survived 24 years without some degree of understanding. If I were you, I'd reciprocate real fast and do something on the honey-do list before she changes her mind.
