Mid 30s guy - realistic to have children?
Is it realistic for a guy in his mid 30s to have expectations to meet someone, get married and have his own biological children? considering that by the time he meets someone compatible, dates, gets engaged etc. he may be closer to 40 and the woman may be in her late 30s.

You it's still realistic just as you start getting close to 40 you just gotta think about trying to keep up with them gets harder. Not to mention you'd be the old dude at their high school graduations.
I'm getting real close to 40 myself (38) and I've made the conscience decision to not have kids. My GF is 6 years older so having kids would be tough anyway.
Tough decisions.

Yes if you love children. No if you don't love children. What else IS there? The more joy you expect, the more joy you will live and give. Likewise problems...

It really depends on the woman not you. If you fall in love with a woman who doesn't have children and wants them then yes. If you fall or an older woamn who has already had some and doesn't want anymore, then no.

If you keep yourself fit its really no harder to keep up with your children at 40. I'm 40 w/ a 2 year old. People tend to think I'm younger than my age, and having the baby even makes one appear younger actually. I work out regularly and have done so for years, so I have no problems at all keeping up with her.
Frankly having a baby is so great I've wondered why I waited so long, it really takes away any sense of loneliness one has as a single or child less person. So yes, I think its both realistic and for many a natural progression in life. I sometimes question why certain men who eventually want a family are still dating around one after the other well into their mid 40s. Just pick someone already! LOL

yes its realistic. antony quinn had a child when he was 80 didnt he?
anyhow its possible. my father was about 46 when my youngest brother was born. he still played with him all the way up until he started high school. then all he had to do was go to his sporting events. its is very possible and very fullfilling no matter what age. go for it. but it really depends on the woman. you might have to get a younger chic. tho my mother was also post 40 when my lil brother was born.

I think your 30s is the best time to have kids. You already had fun and established yourself in your 20s and are probably more settled in your 30s - financally and emotionally. The bottom line is that no one is ever really ready to have kids. It is such a life changing experience.
Go for it!

It depends how old the person is. If people are in theyr 20s and beyond, they should never have children. Why have kids is a cruel and overpopulated world?
