Sexual orientation has nothing to do with human emotions. But, you're right, marriage isn't for everyone.

Do lesbians seem to be a lot angrier, by and large, than heterosexual women? I just had an apparent lesbian check and bag my groceries at my supermarket twice in the last month. I basically go through the line clinically, say hello, swipe my credit card and "call it a day." She essentially seems to be very calloused...and so do other apparent lesbians who have helped me in a retail setting. On the other hand, almost all apparent heterosexual women and all the guys working in supermarkets and other types of stores want to be courteous and informative. What's the story with the anger, though I might be digressing?

Don't know why they'd be any angrier than straight women. Especially since they wear comfortable shoes

Nice.

Back to the original topic, is abuse of different varieties fairly typical in lesbian relationships, if one has any insight?

Absolutely not.

Abuse happens in ALL relationships. The occurrence of lesbian partner abuse is about the same as the occurrence of abuse in hetero relationships.

Lesbians are just women who prefer romantic relationships with those of their own gender, so there are just as many screwed up, dysfunctional, angry lesbians as there are screwed up, dysfunctional, angry hetero women... and of course just as many who are healthy, well adjusted, and at peace on "both sides".

To try and generalize to the contrary is rather silly.

Absolutely correct.

Well, although I`m not all for the opposite sex marriage thing.....
its life. Whether its a lesbian marriage or not. Happens everyday, even with straight marriages, unfortunetly.

Default ...

A joke which illustrates my point:

What does a Lesbian bring to her second date?

A U-Haul.

Jump in with both feet, damn the torpedoes, with no cooling off period. Once the knot is tied things are way different. Not a lot of experience with Lesbians personally but I did run a number in my cab. How did I know they ate at the Y? Well, assuming they were not kissing and groping each other I could usually tell from Lesbian bar from which I loaded them.

Unlike their male counterparts they are not known as good tippers.

But to me they seemed to be very confused, angry people. Angry at what? Let me put it this way: I NEVER saw a Portia Rossi doppleganger. Nope, these were generally unattractive women. And I have to think that a woman who has let herself devolve to that state is ticked off. It is fundamental to the XX brigade that appearance is important. Even the most radical femiNazi will have her hair done, wear coordinated outfits, and use at least some makeup.

Maybe they are mad because it is a man's world, they are physically weak, and have to deal with their uninvited but ever-present Friend. Who knows. But to hear that Lesbian "marriages" define instability is hardly a shock to me.

But I could be wrong.
