I was having my usual evening: light diner, check on websites, lite house work, and then hit the gym.

On my way out of the gym I checked my cell phone for calls or messages, I'm expecting a call from a friend in California. I saw a number I didn't recognize and was not in my address book, so thinking it was her, I called the number back and guess what?

A guy answered the phone. After a few awkward moments I asked why did he call my number. He says he wants to know what is up between me and his fiance cause my number keeps show up on his phone bill. huh?

Fiance! Huh! WTF?

The guy tell me he is the father of her youngest son and that each of her kids is from a different guy. Now he is not sure what is happening, is all apologetic, but worried.

Here is the really interesting part. When I asked him how long have they been engaged for he says, "7 Years". Huh? To quote, "Well, we've been together for 13 years, but engaged for 7".

Huh! Come on, after 7 months, its time to put up or shut up.

Then, when I get home I have an IM on my computer from her saying, "Hi" but nothing else. Yes, I check the timestamp of the message and it was sent hours before the phone call.

Is my life a trip or what?

So is this live or memorex(meaning is the guy for real, or is this some kind of joke)?

Stay tuned for more of "As the internet turns", right after these messages from our sponsors.

Have you met her in person yet? Are you dating her?

I'd like to know the same thing. By now I hope he has had a conversation with her and determined what is going on. How does a mother with young kids have time for MySpace anyway???

The answer to both questions is no, she lives several hundred miles from here, however, I was considering going to visit in the next month or so. But now this is not likely. I don't need this type of drama in my life.

She claims that she broke it off over a year ago, he says no-way, they are still engaged. These two are not on the same page. Or someone is in serious denial.

My advice to both of them was that they needed to talk, and, needed understand boundaries - in other words, if you have an issue with what she is doing, talk to her, not me.

That's easy. The kids bed time is 8:30 or 9. She has plenty of time from mySpace after that.

Heck my Filippa friend is the same way, once her son is asleep, she's free to surf. That's how she met her current boy friend - see my 'Moving too fast" Thread.

Did she at least tell you if it is true that all her children have different fathers?

Yep.. confirmed that last night. The kids are spread out, a 20 something, a teenager and a toddler, who's father called.

There were lots of apologies, but all plans for visits are now off.
