I bought full sized candy bars to hand out for halloween this year. We get a lot of kids, I live in a somewhat upscale neighborhood with large apartment complexes nearby so we get a lot of kids that come and trick-or-treat from there. Lots of immigrants kids, lower-income etc.

I spent some time with an old childhood friend recently and we were both laughing about the time we went trick-or-treating and got FULL SIZE candy bars from a lady. Here are two guys on either side of fourty that remember what they got one halloween thirty years ago!

Anyway, I did it for fun and myself and it cost about as much as a tank of gas. I'm happy.

********Warning Halloween Humor*******************

Well, if it's a fat kid and you use the proper canning techniques you can make them last through the winter.

Finished a very, very tedious and complicated Chapter 23. After several days of procrastination, I just sat down and clawed my way through the GD thing. Now that I've passed the kidney stone, I'll go back and revise it this afternoon to make it actually interesting.

My child's prized pumpkin rotted away and he didn't know it. He would have been very upset. So I went out and drove all over town on the day before Halloween to find a pumpkin that looked almost the same. So hopefully, I've saved his Halloween.

Finding a pumpkin on 10/30 is not easy, in fact all the stores have already taken the Halloween decorations down and are gearing up for Christmas. At least wait till November 1st to do that, thats my take on it. Its like everything is just being rushed along. The holiday isn't even here yet and its already over as far as the stores are concerned. wow.

Congrats, but when you see fat kids wobbling around your neighborhood after tomorrow, you can claim credit for that b/c you gave them full size candy bars rather than the "fun size" ones.
