My good friend is habitually late and it would hack me off to no end. I have gotten to the point that I ignore it. BUT, the other night we had fun with it. She was 4 hours late for a party (WTF??) and we started calling her at home at midnight to harrass her. We even bought a spoof card and called her from other numbers.

She finally showed up and was laughing about it. Alcohol and a phone are never a good thing!

Sorry. But people who are habitually late fall into one of these categories:

1) They are dithering fools who can't get their act together. Those people, I tolerate up to a point.
2) Time is the stuff that life is made of, yet they choose to be really inconsiderate of the time of others. Those people, I don't tolerate.
3) They are really game-players, passive aggressive people who show up late as some kind of weird dominance rituals. Those people aren't tolerated by anybody for very long.

Yes, most of the "late lovers" I know are just control freaks. but my friend we love to harrass is just a goof ball who cannot get her stuff straight! We all love her though.
