Default Another question regarding women paying less attention to looks

I was wondering if all other factors being equal,
could it get any attention from women if a guy loses say 2-3 inches in his waist,
like going from an average build to a thin build?
I'd hazard a guess to say either "no" or "probably not."
*I'm hoping someone might prove me wrong though.

However, I'm impressed with myself being 15 lbs lighter and having a waist roughly 2 inches smaller.
Bodyfat-wise, I'm nearly down to an Olypian's bodyfat level, but still have a little bulk on my bones from muscle.

Well, beside the fact that for different women there are different body style preferences, I'd say that the confidence that you've gained from losing those inches should show through to the outside - something that's always attractive to ALL women.

Just pleeease don't get too obsessed w/ your new body... It is never as attractive as a great personality and a humble heart! I dated a guy that was amazing, but he was so obsessed with his physical appearance that it completely turned me off. I would never want to be with someone who thinks I would be so shallow! Girls have enough insecurities of our own, the last thing we want is a guy as concerned w/ themselves as the world has made us. Confidence at any size is sexy

I agree. It is not always about the body size. It is more about not being a whining insecure mess. A man with confidence is far more interesting to me than meat head, as long as he is not more obsessed with looking at himself in the mirror than looking at me.

Don't become "manorexic". That is very unbecoming.

If your new body build makes you feel good about yourself and gives you more confidence, then that is a good thing. But I've never been attracted to any man purely on his physical body build. He has to have a good personality and sense of humour, plus be an interesting and intelligent guy.

huh? Looks are so fleeting who gives a woot. Im trying to find someone with substance. I mean, we will all go ugly to some extent right? get a little blind, a little deaf, get too old to work the old muscles, too tired to trim the nose and ear hair, let the boobs hang down, tooth decay.

I'll take short stout, tall, thin, bald, long hair, acne, hairy....who cares as long as i like the person. i pretty much look at everyone twice.

Is that where guys become obsessed about "getting big" and have negative opinions about "how small" they think they are, or other people?

Appearance from bigger muscles is an afterthought for me.
I like weight lifting for other reasons:

- the added body-warmth
- making my job easier to do
- making my metabolism higher so I can eat more without gaining fat

I never thought of it that way...

I don't really feel "more confident" in a noticeable way,
but I do feel a little happier and more content.
Maybe that could count instead of more confidence?
