Sierra, I appreciate your feedback, truly do. I need to highlight that these racist threads bring out the worst in most members. You are not aware of what goes on behind the scenes, how many complaints, feelings hurt, demeaning others, the list is endless. We
don't need this publicity. Unless or until we have a full time Moderator here in Relationships to take control, we need to keep this forum pleasant.

I don't know... If we go by this logic, all topics should be banned and we should just shut up forever because every single one is bound to offend SOMEBODY... People are too easily offended these days. They need to grow some skin.

People love to feel offended, it adds to their sense of self importance.

I'm sorta irritated by people that are prudish. I feel like saying get over yourself.

Being prudish or anything else is fine as long as you don't attempt to shove it down other people's throats and judge their preferences. Share your opinion if you feel like to and stop there.

I fail to see how skin color or nationality is the main topic in love. Love comes in all colors, sizes and shapes. Why are you all sorting and dividing into different colors?

Agree with the not shoving it down peoples throats.

I'm talking about really prudish people. There are a couple of fairly regular posters here that no matter what the subject is they have to find something in it to be offended by. I'm not naming any names though.

It's not about the colors. Many cultures and sub-cultures within a country do have different lifestyles and values that don't appeal to everybody. While you may not be a racist and you can fall in love with a particular person, you may very well marry into a culture that's not to your taste and it's beneficial to know beforehand what you may potentially get yourself into. Obviously, not everybody in any group lives and acts the same way, but there are certain common characteristics one should be aware of. For instance, many of us don't believe in marrying a whole built-in extended family. We believe we should marry a person for the most part. However, it's the rule in many cultures.
