I just posted this in the "appropriate" forum, but I figured I should share it with my buddies.

The Two-Hour Rule

The Two-Hour Rule is a law of American business which states that "no salaried employee, employed by a business to work in an office, may exceed two hours of actual work in any business day."

The Two-Hour Rule was created to ensure that American business thrived on efficiency, not on dumb hard work, so that Americans could enjoy the lives they had earned.

Have you had your thyroid checked? Mine was shot but not discovered until multiple varieties of anti-depressants were tried & did nothing but make me sick.

What about your exercise? Break a good sweat & your endorphins kick into high gear - an immediate mood booster.

I just "adopted" a soldier through a website & am having a blast! He gets a letter once a week & a care package filled with basics, food, treats, etc once a month. I enlist the neighbor kids to help me fill the package - they draw pictures & stuff. It is a great way to force myself to focus on someone who has it way worse than me.

Just some thoughts.

Only in America.
I really love how the author asks for a 'donation' at the end.

Well, it's not exactly a joke and it's not only in America. They pretend to pay us and we pretend to work.

...................^^^^...ha ha - love it! ^^^^

Then I want to move to Spain where I can take an afternoon siesta...and then enjoy a long, long evening meal with lots of great wine & lively banter!

I'm self-employed & my health insurance just went up to $414.00 / month. I just want to "pretend" I don't owe that & hope the docs don't "pretend" to make me better!

Where did you find that story? Very interesting. I know what I'll be bringing up next time there is a lull in a conversation, (we call that "the 14 minute pause").
