[quote=SifuPhil;5403160]Put anyone of them, and you, naked in a room with a hot-tub, candles and champagne, and I GUARANTEE you'll discover how platonic that "friendship" is...
I GUARANTEE you're wrong....at least in my experience. My two best friends are men. They are also each other's best friend. They are also good friends with my boyfriend. I love these guys like brothers. We've been friends for almost 10 years.
I don't know if you have discussed this topic earlier here. If yes, But I still would like to hear the different opinions from all of you here..I just get confused by this sometimes.I personal think it is possible for men and women just being friends...but the real friendship seldom appears.. or hard to last long...right ?
Well in my life I've always ended up making out or sleeping with my male bestfriends. So I'm going to have to go with no for me. I'm sure it can exist it just hasn't for me.
In my personal experience I have found my male friends have not been able to remain just friends with me. I had a male friend for 15 years and we had a perfect relationship without sex. We would cuddle, hold hands, cook together and do just about everything a happy couple would do. We would console each other after one of us broke up with someone, share his escapades rescue me from a bad situation and then one day he got married and the now ex-wife would not let him attend my wedding reception, only the wedding of which she stayed home from. Shortly after his marriage he confided in me that he made a mistake marrying her.....that it should have been me. He is now on his second possessive wife who did not want him to be friends with me any longer, even though I have a family of my own. In the long run, it just never worked.
