Default Aghhhh! A VENT.

My husband wants ME to let his mother know that he wants to take her out for dinner tomorrow for her birthday and I said okay. But then, thinking about how his mother is such a planner(she has to have a time-time frames don't work for her) I went to ask him WHEN and he said grumpily "when I get off of work, some time after that"! Okay, thats 2:30 so WHAT time? He says "I don't know, just forget it" He cannot expect me to tell his mother to be ready "sometime after 2:30" and expect her to just sit there. She is retired but she is also a busy lady.

If he gets off at 2:30 he has any time after that. Ask your MIL what time she usually eats dinner, if she says 5 then you pick her up at 4:30.

Why can't he call and ask her and work out the details?

Because he's a noob. lmao No. He doesn't care to get on the phone with her alot because she keeps him on the phone for more than an hour every time. And he's taking DD to work and can't get stuck on the phone. For some reason he just can't tell her "I gotta go". Therewego, that is what I am going to do. Thanks!
