Ugh, this is more of a vent than anything. My mom wants more family time so today we decided to make Sunday dinner and have it together. So I made a meatloaf and these almond strawberry dessert puff things that are a pain to make but really good. Everyone loves them. Anyway the whole time we are there she had to criticize everything I'm doing.

She complained of my son's haircut because she thinks it makes him look like a wannabe gangsta(the boy is 7). We cut his hair with a 4 guard at home. It saves us money. I had him in a button down shirt and black pants and she says that makes him look even more wannabe.

So my husband asks what she's saying and I tell him. Well after eating they go look at something in the garage and I'm sitting on the couch and so is my mom and she rips me a new one because I said what she said loud enough for my son to hear when I was telling my husband.

I told her to not tell me anything next time then and she's said sometimes I just 'need' to be told things(the woman thrives on pointing things out that are wrong in people). I got pissed and told her I don't tell her all the things she 'needs' to be told. Well she didn't like that. But she's always telling me things I 'need' to hear. Most of the time I just ignore it but it pissed me off tonight. My other siblings have limited contact with her because she can be really overbearing and they aren't as good as ignoring it as me.

Anyway, I thought this would be a nice time we would have together but she just completely ruined it. It's like she didn't even want us there even though this family dinner was all her idea. So I guess my pet peeve today is going out of your way to help make things happen and then getting treated like dirt.

While coming back from the bank I saw a women on her cell phone blow through an intersection in a mini van with a big wreath strapped to the grill. The light had been red on her side for almost a minute when she was t-boned by an old GMC truck and hit on the rear quarter by some kind of station wagon.
Why is it that people that think they can multitask are always the ones that can't. We have people that can fly jet fighters at twice the speed of sound while being shot at, pull up pulling multi g's, break a wing off and parachute safely to the ground and then we have those that can't safely operate a vehicle in 30 mph traffic.

Ah, I recently saw a clip of her and a black woman cooking the most fattening, disgusting thing I've ever seen. It was a sandwich filled w/ fat and where the bread was replaced by doughnuts. That old white lady and the black woman took turns eating that sandwich. I could feel my heart wanting to vomit.
