There are actually a few chores I'd pay someone else to do. Mowing the yard is one of them.

I feel that I do the shopping, cooking, cleaning, the work that goes on inside the house, besides I take care of my flower beds, and pull weeds around the house. Let him do something....
How about around your house?
I guess my mind is in the gutter or something because I thought this was going to be a thread about bikini waxing or shaving! Sometimes you just gotta take things at face value, I guess.

I do 90% of everything around the house.
I am perfectly capable, but I refuse to mow the grass.

When it needs done I just start singing..."In the Jungle the mighty Jungle" He mows just to shut me up.

do not comprehend why grass has to be mowed. It looks fine when it is grown out long and shaggy. Sort of like when a dude grows out his long hair.
Horse crap.
Here is what happens when you give the responsibility of mowing to my soon to be ex husband. It dosent look fine. He has mowed twice since I moved out last October!. I always mowed before because he wouldnt. Now my grown son will come and mow for me since dhead isnt around.

We have a deal at our house, He stays out of my gardens (and I can put one anywhere I want) and I stay out of his lawnmowing! I have flower beds, raised garden beds, flower gardens around the bases of trees, you name it. He leaves them alone and mows carefully around them, and I do the planning, planting, weeding and harvesting.

I think it's because we have such a short growing season here in Maine, but the grass needs to be mowed 2x week in the summer, so we each think we are getting the better end of the deal!

....is that the key to a happy marriage? splitting the chores so each thinks they have the better deal? hmmm...almost 17 years and counting!
