LOL oooh, she'd swat you good for that remark...LOL she's one of those small-but-feisty ladies. lol
Well...It bugs me. She's..erm..older than I am...I ought to be the one doing the sweaty work.
It makes her feel good to be able to do it and one day she knows she will not be able to, so be happy because she is happy. It will be a shock to you when you need to do it!

It will scare me when I need to do it...I don't like thinking about when that day comes.
A brand new bride was preggers with her first baby. She went to the doctor for a checkup. Afterwards the doctor was writing her up. He said, "You and the baby are in excellent health. Do you have any questions?"
The girl squirms. "Um, my husband wants me to ask..."
The doctor held up his hand. "Say no more! I hear this all the time. You can have sex all the way through the pregnancy."
"Well, that's not it. He wants to know if I can still mow the lawn."
--> Funny that girls always tell me, "That's my husband!"
Unfortunately for me, my husband is not really handy. He also feels that anything that can be done today can also be done tomorrow (or next week). When I get fed up and decide that the house looks too trashy and go out to mow, it seems that when I'm 80% done, he comes out and tries to get the lawnmower from me. At that point, I'm like, "NO, I don't think so" ( I don't say this part but I don't want him f'ing up what I've almost done completely right, nice little rows and around all the stupid little bushes out there, etc...) Besides, the time for him to get the lawnmower was before I started, not when I'm almost done.
Lucky for me, I've a relative who is out of work and likes to do yard work. So I have pretty much retired from doing it. If my husband can't do the yard work, let him pay someone else to do it.
That is what having 3 sons is for! I keep the flower bed and vegetable garden cleaned up, my boys mow, well now grandson is doing that, DH keeps the pool clean.
I personally do it. The bf wants to hire some mexicans but why pay when you can do it yourself???? Also, it feels good to turn around and see your hard work done and your yard looks great. I mow and he edges/weed whacks.
