Funny really as from what I've seen she will have another 8 to 20 guys that are married under friends.
She must be like the "healthy" crowd on our forum, lol. I don't make "friends" with people I might lust after. So, let’s see now… did I ensure getting or NOT getting any more male requests…?!
Friends discuss stuff, share common interests, laugh about the same crap, if the people that ask me to add them to my list on here are friends then so are the ones that send me links to crap in my email. Who's your bestest buddy in the world?....you are poppy or jiggles...LOL!
People are flaky when it comes to this sort of thing, they add you to their friends list where you just sit there and rot. Unless you initiate a conversation of some kind you'll never hear from them, or sometimes if you do write them they won't write back despite you seeing them online all the time. Then if you ask why they didn't write back they will say because they have been busy, so busy that they found time to be online all day.
Well, even if I like keeping up correspondence with somebody, I don't have the time, the energy, and the inclination to start from scratch my life story with too many people. I might exchange some gossip about what’s going on the forum behind the scenes, but I don’t have time for real friendships. I’ve done it many times in the past. As tempting as it is and as rewarding as it seems at the time, it eventually boils down to wasted time and frustrated typing… I’d want a real local friend, not a pen pal.
I've gotten a couple of friend requests, accepted them, and then nothing at all has happened. I'm not even sure how the friend thing works either. But whatever, they are also people that I like what they post. Otherwise, I get plenty of friendly DM's from people that have never wanted to do the friend thing. lol
I have asked been to be friends and accept. Honestly, I do not know what to do after that so I do not know the "protocol", I guess. As for real friendships, there is someone on this board that we have all become familiar with whom whines about how much they do not have friends and would love to, hates her job, etc; I have befriended her and emailed her a few times just to make her feel not so alone. On the 3rd email, she dropped me and never heard from her again except on this board. Frankly, I do not know what I did wrong.........
And to my four CD friends, if I don't chat with you as a friend, it's because I spend too much time on the internet already and it doesn't help that I'm a slow typer and overly wordy. I also don't do AIM chats anymore and I'm not into Myspace either. But I do love you all!
Hugs,
miu
