Okay, I was interrupted several times, but what's with the "flowers" on the desk there, and then they disappeared...

I take it that these guys podcast from their basement with a budget of about $15 per episode - that must have been their attempt at humor.

But I agree with what they said about dogs- weirdest...thing...ever.

Haha, I didn't know if it was something I was missing...

Yes, I did get creeped out about the dog and the bed, thank you...

You might have missed where the one guy said he didn't have pets, but he did have 14 African violets...

They gave me a great idea when discussing ornaments on Christmas trees. I think I'll make a picture ornament of the dog and maybe a few of family members to give out as presents this year. Thanks, SifuPhil!

That was very interesting because I am mystified by people's fascination with dogs.

I theorize that people who require pets that return affection are not natural "givers" in relationships -- or are givers with strings attached.

Folks who care for creatures that do not return affections -- fish, birds, plants, etc. -- are natural givers in relationships and do so with no expectation of reciprocity.

It might be the opposite. People who like fish for pets don't want to have to give too much affection. They want to be able to toss in some food now and then and be done with it.
