I went to school in the South and I can say, it definitely seemed like my southern friends put a bigger emphasis on getting married my "non southern" friends. When I was there it just seemed like it was the tradition, so even though these women were in college it seemed like their main goal was to find a husband, get married and have some kids. I'm not saying this is good or bad, it's just what I observed. As far as the men, in general, they did seem to have that southern charm that I absolutely fell in love with. I love southern men.
I was reading another thread that mentioned how hard dating..
Was in the SE US because most girls were married by 18-20.
Is this a rural thing or in medium sized cities as well?
Im a single guy early 30's moving to SC so this would be important..
To me!
I think youll be ok, because the average age now for a woman to marry has been moved up to approx. 28 . If i were you, id get thru your 30's before contemplating marriage because it will give you time to become more solid in your work, your home, your finances, and the wise objective selection of a Marriage partner. There will still be alot of unmarried gals available when youre 40 plus alot of once married gals who would have learned alot about themselves from mistakes made the first time around who would make better wives the second time thru. What do you think ?
