If a straight person hits on a gay person. I have never seen the gay person get all huffy. But the opposite . Whoa. Major huffy .
That is OH SO TRUE!! I can't tell you how many times I have been with str8 buddies of mine and some girl comes up and starts hitting on me. She'll rub up against me, play with here hair, fix her bra so her boobs stick out, etc. Then when I "BREAK THE NEWS" she storms off. I guess she was po'd because she wasted all that energy on a GAY GUY!!! Sometimes its quite amuzing for even my str8 buds, because they remind me they go through it all the time. So I tell them to do what I did. They laugh!
I met my current BF (2 yrs.) in a bar. I met my previous BF (8 1/2 yrs) in a bar. I met the one before that (9 1/2 yrs) on the street. (Serial monogomist) You don't need to volunteer to meet someone. Volunteer because you want to volunteer. Be friendly and open and you will meet people everywhere and anywhere!
We met online on a site that is not intended for fostering relatinships. But we went out and we fell in love really quickly (love at first site?). We went for dinner and we were holding hands within 15 minutes of sitting down. We are now married and live in Palm Springs.
I met my bf online. I just don't think it's realistic to expect gay folks to meet each other in the grocery store, etc. It's damn near impossible to tell who's gay and who isn't, in my experience. I've met lots of guys who I would have sworn were gay but who turned out to be straight. And I'm not about to go up to some random guy and ask him out - it simply isn't safe, and anyone who thinks otherwise is incredibly naive.

That's kind of what I thought as well.
