Obviously, you've never lived in the SE so you won't understand where I'm coming from. The SE is porbably the most racially-conscious bunch in the country. Maybe you should check out U.S. history on racial stuff in the South as well.
Now, if she actually finds a White guy down here, without rednecks or people of his color getting to him from 40 years ago, that is a miracle.
I lived in the US for almost 20 years and spent a year in New Orleans, where I went on a few dates but had nothing serious - all were white...had no problems. My is ex is Texan, met in California, spent 18 months in London then moved to Texas had no problems there either, even with his redneck white trash family who taught me alot and I'm sure they learned a lot from me. Heck even after we went our sperate ways I'd still drive 3 1/2 hours to Arlington to spend weekends with them. They are always welcome at my home too. I guess the British accent made it easier for some of them to swallow. His older sister is awesome
By the way I came across more racism in California than I did in the South.

you nailed it. It's really not a race issue,it's a people issue. In this case the issue is with some women.
